When to split a PDF

Use this tool when you only need part of a larger PDF: a single form page, selected report pages, a receipt from a packet, a chapter excerpt, or a short attachment pulled from a longer document.

Split PDF creates one new PDF from the selected pages. Use Extract PDF Pages for a similar selected-page copy, Delete PDF Pages when you want everything except certain pages, and Reorder PDF Pages when the pages are right but the sequence is wrong.

FAQ

Are my PDF files uploaded?

No. The PDF is read and split by browser APIs on your device. It is not uploaded to the LocalMini server.

What page range formats work?

Use single pages like 1, ranges like 1-3, comma-separated pages like 1,3,5, or mixed selections like 1-3,5.

Can I split password-protected PDFs?

Some encrypted or password-protected PDFs may fail to load in browser-based PDF libraries. Export an unlocked copy first.

Does this change my original PDF?

No. The original file stays on your device unchanged. The tool creates a new PDF containing the selected pages.

What should I do if a page range is invalid?

Check that every page number exists in the uploaded PDF, ranges go from low to high, and duplicate or empty entries are removed before splitting.
