Transparent PNG maker

Make a simple background transparent

Upload an image, remove white or a selected flat color, and download a transparent PNG/WebP or a solid-background output.

This works best for simple, flat backgrounds. It is not an AI background remover for people, hair, or complex photos.

The image is processed in your browser and is not uploaded.

What this transparent PNG maker does

This browser tool removes white backgrounds or a selected flat color from simple graphics and exports a transparent PNG/WebP, or a solid-background PNG/JPEG/WebP. It is useful for logos, signatures, icons, stickers, badges, and clean product graphics.

It is intentionally honest and lightweight: it does not perform AI subject detection, portrait cutouts, hair masking, or complex scene segmentation.

Worked example

Upload a dark signature scanned on white paper, choose white-background mode and transparent PNG output, then raise tolerance only until the paper becomes transparent. The result is a PNG that can be placed over a document or slide. If tolerance is too high, light parts of the signature may disappear too; this tool is intended for flat backgrounds, not photo or hair cutouts.

FAQ

Is this an AI background remover?

No. It uses browser canvas color matching. It works best for simple, flat backgrounds and does not cut out people or complex objects.

Which mode should I use?

Use white-background mode for white or near-white backgrounds. Use selected-color mode when the background is another flat color.

Are my images uploaded?

No. The image stays in your browser while it is decoded, processed, previewed, and exported.

Can transparent output be JPEG?

No. JPEG does not support transparent pixels. Use PNG or WebP for transparency, or choose a solid fill color when exporting JPEG.
